Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actress and vocalist whose dramatic versatility earned her praise throughout a wide range of styles from period dramas to action and thriller. Johansson daughter of an architect as well as a producer was brought up within New York City. Twin brothers Hunter and her brother Hunter were among the youngest of siblings. By the age of seven years old, she was auditioning for television commercials. Soon after she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and then took classes at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to improve her acting skills. Johansson made her debut an actress on film in North (1994) around nine years old. She was just eight when she starred alongside Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson came next to the screen on screen in Just Cause (1996), but it was Manny & Lo 1996 that gave her a breakthrough. It is a story about two teenage girls wandering off.
